Fire at Oil India facility in Assam injures six workers

The fire broke out at Oil India Limited’s Intermediate Tank Farm in Tengakhat, in Dibrugarh district on Friday, claiming the life of one employee and injuring six others. Injuries were admitted to Assam Medical College and Hospital in Dibrugarh.

The incident occurred while workers were operating a valve at the facility. The explosion took place in the crude oil storage section of the tank farm, triggering a massive fire. The blaze was subsequently brought under control and investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
