New hoax bomb threats hit European flights

At least 27 commercial flights across Europe were targeted by malicious hoax bomb threats for a third consecutive day, prompting fighter jet scrambles and emergency diversions. Addressing the series of bomb hoaxes, the European Commissioner for Transport stated on Thursday that airport security and threat assessments are primarily led by national authorities, with investigations currently ongoing.

This wave of flight bomb hoaxes comes at a time when supermarket refrigeration systems across several European countries have suffered cyberattacks involving remote temperature tampering, alongside similar attacks targeting plasma storage facilities in France.
