National Defence Academy: Myanmar delegation visits NDC in Vientiane

A Myanmar goodwill delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services General Ye Win Oo visited the National Defence Academy in Vientiane of Laos on Thursday.

The delegation was welcomed by Maj-Gen Phanseng Bounphan, Head of the Academy’s Political Department, and officials.

During the visit, Lao officials explained the academy’s history, curriculum, training programmes, educational development and cooperation with ASEAN countries. Both sides discussed strengthening Myanmar-Laos military ties, exchanging military education and training experiences, improving leadership and management skills, and promoting cooperation in research and technology.

The delegation also visited the academy’s history museum and library, where they learned about its history, development and educational resources.

The delegation later proceeded to the Wattay International Airport to travel to Luang Prabang.They were seen off at the airport by Myanmar Ambassador to Laos U Aung Ko and wife, along with Lao defence ministry officials.

Upon arrival at Luang Prabang International Airport, the delegation was welcomed by Luang Prabang Military Region Commander Brigadier General Thongla Xayavongsack and his wife, together with officials.
