China’s FM meets with Vietnamese counterpart in Beijing

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Vietnamese counterpart Le Hoai Trung in Beijing on November 4. During the meeting, Wang expressed China's readiness to advance land, sea, and air connectivity with Viet Nam, streamline trade and investment, and tap into emerging industries.

The talks also covered expanding tourism, talent training, mutual support for APEC hosting duties, and cooperation via East Asia frameworks. In addition, both officials highlighted the importance of safeguarding peace, stability, and proper management of affairs in the South China Sea.
