Astronaut Sophie Adenot dreams of "walking on the Moon"

French astronaut Sophie Adenot expressed her desire to participate in a future lunar mission. Following her return to Earth after a 237-day mission on the International Space Station (ISS), she shared during a press conference in Paris that she dreams of "walking on the Moon," though she noted that assignment to such a mission does not depend solely on her.

With Europe's participation in NASA's Artemis program through ESA, European astronauts are eligible for future lunar missions, making a potential landing or orbital mission to the Moon a possibility for ESA active crew members.
