UAE Partners with OpenAI on AI Technology

The United Arab Emirates has signed several agreements with OpenAI to introduce artificial intelligence technology across government organizations and major industries. At the ADIPEC energy conference in Abu Dhabi, state-owned oil company ADNOC announced a partnership with OpenAI to become the first energy company to deploy its Frontier AI platform.

The partnership, also involving Emirati AI firm G42, aims to use AI models to assess oil resources while they remain underground. The agreements were announced during OpenAI CEO Sam Altman’s attendance at the UAE’s flagship oil industry event.
