MSME Development : Support for local businesses in Sagaing

As the government continues to provide support and assistance to promote the development of MSMEs, efforts are also being made to create job opportunities for local people, improve family businesses and preserve traditional Myanmar craftsmanship.

On Saturday, Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Ko Lay, accompanied by regional government officials, visited the “Tun Tun” silver and bronze workshop in Ywar Htaung Ward of Sagaing Township. During the visit, the business owner explained the production of various silver and bronze products and the workshop's operations.

The Chief Minister pledged support for local businesses in improving product quality, developing new designs, securing raw materials and expanding sales to foreign markets. He also said that financial assistance through the State Economic Promotion Fund will be facilitated for business owners wishing to expand their operations.
