Tour in Bago : MONREC Union Minister makes inspection tour

Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Hsan Oo met with the staff at the Environmental Conservation Department's Bago Region Office on October 30.

During the meeting, the Union Minister urged all to follow rules and regulations, perform their duties honestly and responsibly, and work in accordance with established procedures. He also stressed the importance of preventing the loss of State natural resources and avoiding involvement in illegal activities.

The Union Minister and party then inspected No. (33) Timber Mill in Phaya Kalay Village, where officials explained its operations. In the afternoon, the Union Minister visited Asia Modern Crafts Co., Ltd. and U Win Naing Myanmar Sculpture Workshop to observe the production of finished wood products.

He later visited the Gems Museum in Yangon, where he instructed officials to properly preserve the country's valuable gemstones and promote the development of skilled craftsmen and artisans. He also inspected the museum's exhibition halls and gemstone shops.
