Inspection Tour : Construction progress of Myanmar Art Center in Yangon

Union Minister for Culture, Hotels and Tourism U Khin Maung Soe inspected the construction of the Myanmar Art Center-Yangon in Insein Township of Yangon Region on Saturday.

During the visit, officials reported on the project's background, construction progress and plans to complete the project within two years. The Union Minister instructed officials to ensure quality construction, strengthen the building against natural disasters and seek advice from local and international experts to meet international standards.

He also stressed the need to complete the project within the set timeframe. Upon completion, the centre will host international cultural performances, concerts, theatrical shows, art exhibitions, workshops and educational programmes. It is expected to create more opportunities for young Myanmar artists in music, dance, film, painting, sculpture and literature.
