The graduation ceremony and job appointment letter presentation for the 20th batch of the 2025–2026 academic year at the Nationalities Youth Resource Development Degree College was held at the Convocation Hall in Ohn Taw Village in Sagaing on Friday.

Since its establishment, the college has produced a total of 3,260 graduates, including 765 Bachelor of Arts, 1,329 Bachelor of Science, 139 B.Tech and 1,027 engineering diploma graduates.

Many former students have also gone on to earn higher qualifications, including master's degrees and Ph.Ds. Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Phone Myat urged the graduates to continue improving their knowledge and skills, serve the country with dedication, and work together with local ethnic communities to promote regional development.

He also encouraged to respect and preserve the literature, traditions and cultural heritage of local ethnic groups. During the ceremony, outstanding students in Arts, Science and A.G.T.I programmes received awards, while representatives from relevant ministries presented job appointment letters to 246 graduates.

The Union Minister and the Sagaing Region Chief Minister also presented cash awards to outstanding students and their parents. In the afternoon, the Union Minister met with Vice Principal and faculties, and inspected ongoing construction projects, including a two-storey female student hostel and an indoor sports hall, as well as the college library and welfare shop. In the evening, a dinner reception was hosted in honour of the graduates.
