Saudi coalition says intercepted Houthi missile fired toward Eastern Province

The Saudi-led coalition announced on Thursday that its air defenses intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by Yemen's Houthis toward Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province. Saudi Civil Defense issued a temporary early-warning alert for the Eastern Province and Najran before lifting the alert and declaring the area safe.

The Houthis previously claimed responsibility for targeting the Ras Tanura oil refinery in the Eastern Province with a ballistic missile earlier in the week.
