Flight from Israel makes emergency landing

Bulgaria's Ministry of Transport and Communications announced Sunday that A320 aircraft flying on the Tel Aviv–Vienna route made an emergency landing in Sofia. There were six crew members and 51 passengers on board. During the flight, near the Romanian border, the crew reported receiving a bomb threat.

In accordance with established procedures, MiG-29 fighter jets from the Bulgarian Air Force took off and escorted the aircraft until it landed at Sofia Airport. The passengers were evacuated from the aircraft and the task force was formed and launched the investigation.
