On October 10, North Korea marked the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK). North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was joined by his wife, Ri Sol Ju, and his daughter, Kim Ju Ae, at a commemorative performance in Pyongyang.

The event was relatively subdued compared to previous major anniversary milestones, focusing on musical concerts, dance performances, gymnastics, and acrobatics rather than a large-scale military parade. State media (KCNA) highlighted Chairman Kim watching the cultural performance alongside senior party officials and foreign diplomatic envoys. No formal speech or external policy message was delivered by Kim Jong Un during the celebration.
