Pyidaungsu Hluttaw: Fourth-day meeting of third regular session

The fourth-day meeting of the third regular session of the Third Pyidaungsu Hluttaw was held on October 12 at the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw meeting hall in Nay Pyi Taw.

According to the agenda, Dr. Myo Win Aung and U Saw Myo Myo, who were appointed as Supreme Court Judges of the Union, took an oath of office in the presence of the Speaker of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw.

Following this, the parliament recorded the change of assignment for the Union Minister for Health, as submitted by the President. Furthermore, the message sent by the President was presented to the Parliament regarding the proposed appointments of Lieutenant General Yar Pyae as the Union Minister for Defence, and Dr. Ko Ko Lwin as the Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement.

Afterward, five parliamentary representatives discussed the Double Taxation Avoidance and Prevention of Fiscal Evasion Agreement on Income, signed between the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia, which was submitted by the President.

Then, five parliamentary representatives discussed the matter regarding the dispatch of the Instrument of Ratification to the ASEAN Secretariat for the entry into force of the Seventh Package of Commitments on Financial Services under the ASEAN Framework Agreement on Services, as submitted by the President.
