128th Farmers’ Forum : MoALI Deputy Minister gives guidelines

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Ye Htun Win attended the 128th Farmers’ Forum held on October 1 under the theme "Least-Cost and Nutritious Feeding Methods for Livestock".

At the event, the Deputy Minister highlighted essential aspects of "feed nutrition management," which is the most fundamental and costly factor in successful livestock production. He emphasized the importance of providing systematic nutrition tailored to animals' bodily requirements rather than simply feeding them in large quantities.

He also stressed the need to add value systematically to locally available feed ingredients and agricultural residues through techniques such as urea treatment and silage making. The discussion then proceeded with responsible officials providing detailed answers to questions raised by attendees. Experts, researchers, and farmers also participated in the session online.
