'No treaty violated': Chile opens maritime route to Falklands

Chile would establish a commercial maritime route between Punta Arenas and the Falkland Islands, with the Chilean shipping company Easter Island set to operate the service. A delegation of nearly 40 business and public-sector representatives from the islands is meeting with Chilean companies in Punta Arenas to arrange supplies and services. Chilean authorities have said the route does not violate any international treaty.
