Regional Cooperation: 23rd ASEAN Air Chiefs Conference

Hosted by the Philippines, the 23rd ASEAN Air Chiefs Conference (AACC) was held via video teleconference (VTC) on Wednesday morning. Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Win attended the conference together with the Air Chiefs from ASEAN member states.

The conference was inaugurated with the opening remarks of Vice Commander of the Philippine Air Force Major General Pablo Rustria Jr. Following this, a commemorative video clip featuring collaborative activities among ASEAN Air Forces. Next, Chief of Staff of the Philippine Air Force Major General Alvin M Hate presented reports on results of the 13th ASEAN Air Forces Education and Training Working Group.

This was followed by the discussion titled “Forging Interoperable and Integrated ASEAN Air Forces: Unified Action for Regional Stability”. Then, the conference resolutions were clarified and AACC Joint Statement was signed. Then, the Chairmanship of the 24th AACC was handed over Malaysia after which General Dato Sri Haji Muhamad Norazlan Bin Aris, Chief of the Royal Malaysian Air Force gave words of thanks.
