Honoring Returned Servicemen : MGY Region CM hosted honorary dinner

A ceremony to honor and present cash awards to the People’s Military service personnel who had additionally arrived from Batch No. (1/2024) and (2/2024), and who had satisfactorily performed national defense and security duties and returned to their hometowns from Batch No. (3/2024) and (4/2024), along with an honorary dinner reception, was held Saturday evening at the Magway City Hall.

At the ceremony, Magway Region Chief Minister U Tin Ko Ko delivered a speech of honor.

Magway Region Chief Minister U Tin Ko Ko said that the People’s Military personnel who had represented Magway Region and successfully completed their two-year military service period with patriotism, unwavering perseverance, diligence, and effort are commendable and proud young servicemen worthy of respect and emulation by the residents of Magway Region, and that is why the Magway Region government happily organized this honorary reception ceremony.

Subsequently, the Chief Minister and officials presented congratulatory cash awards of 100,000 kyats each to a total of 218 individuals including 39 who had additionally arrived from Batch No. (1), and (2), and 179 who had returned from Batch No. (3) and (4) and they all partook in the honorable dinner together.

During the honorary dinner, artists performed songs for entertainment, and after the ceremony, the Chief Minister and officials warmly greeted and bade farewell to the returning People’s Military servicemen, it’s reported.
