India celebrates DahiHandi festival following Janmashtami

DahiHandi celebrations are being held across India with devotion and joy following Janmashtami, the festival that marks the birth of Lord Krishna. The celebrations feature the traditional practice of forming human pyramids to break suspended earthen pots filled with curd and other dairy products.On the day, streets come alive with chants, music and energetic celebrations as Govinda Pathaks compete to reach and break the hanging pots.
