Development Works : MCRD Union Minister tours in Mandalay

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Myo Zaw Thein, accompanied by officials, conducted field inspection on cooperative system manufacturing process and small skill enterprises within Mandalay Region on Friday.

The Union Minister visited dairy factory in Pyigyidagon Township to oversee the processing of dairy products. The Union Minister later met with cooperative members, and heard reports on manufacturing process, trading, service provision, systematic expansion of agriculture and livestock sectors.

The Union Minister gave instructions to meet targeted yields for the development of nation’s economy. On arrival at Royal Ruby Flower rice mill, the Union Minister toured around the factory operation process and gave necessary instructions.

At the Saunders Weaving and Vocational Institute in Amarapura Township, officials reported on training programmes, and the Union Minister instructed on creation of job opportunities, innovation of modern weaving designs and convenience of the trainees.

The Union Minister then proceeded to Cooperative College (Mandalay) and met with the Principal and staff. During the meeting, the Union Minister instructed for appointment of teachers to fulfill the teaching demand and providing employment opportunities for the students. The Union Minister later toured around the classroom, library and staff housing within college campus.
