Sepak Takraw Tournament: Mon State, Yangon Region win Championship Titles

Mon State and Yangon Region won the women’s and men’s titles respectively at the 2026 Region and State Sepak Takraw Championship. Mon State won two gold medals to claim the Women’s Championship Trophy.

The team won the women’s four-player event, while also taking first place in the women’s two-player event. Yangon Region secured the Men’s Championship Trophy with one gold and one silver medal. Yangon won the men’s four-player event and finished second in the men’s three-player event. In the women’s four-player final, Mon State defeated Ayeyawady Region 2–0.

In the men’s four-player final, Yangon Region beat Mandalay Region 2–0. The championship was held from August 24 to September 2 at Gymnasium (A) of Wunna Theikdi Sports Complex in Nay Pyi Taw, with 15 men’s teams and 13 women’s teams taking part.
