








Meiktila University of Economics celebrates its 25th anniversary on Wednesday. Union Minister for Education Dr. Chaw Chaw Sein virtually joined the ceremony and gave opening remarks.
She highlighted the university’s important role over the past 25 years in providing education in economics and management and developing human resources. She also emphasized the importance of research and practical training opportunities for students through cooperation with businesses.
The silver jubilee celebrations featured research paper presentations, a job fair, exhibitions, student performances, souvenir stalls and other activities. Meiktila University of Economics was established in the 2001–2002 academic year. From then through the 2025–2026 academic year, it has produced over 10,000 graduates.
The university currently offers programs in Economics, Commerce, Statistics, Business Management, Public Administration, and Entrepreneurship and Management, as well as postgraduate programs including MBA, MPA, MBF, MDevS and MAS.
