Stage Performances by Students: Arts exhibition and stage performances by students

The Fine Art Exhibition featuring the works of painting and sculpture students who are due to graduate in the 2025–2026 academic year from the 29th graduation batch of the National University of Arts and Culture (Yangon), under the Ministry of Culture, Hotels and Tourism, and the stage performances by students specializing in music, Thabin or Dramatic Arts, Cinematography & Drama, was held in the morning on August 31st, at the National Theatre on Myoma Kyaung Road in Yangon.

At the ceremony, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu delivered the opening remarks, followed by a congratulatory address by Deputy Minister for Culture, Hotels and Tourism U Aye Tun.

Afterwards, the Yangon Region Chief Minister, the Deputy Minister and officials enjoyed the respective performances presented by students from the Department of Music, Department of Thabin or Dramatic Arts, and Department of Motion Picture and Drama.

Subsequently, the Yangon Region Chief Minister, the Deputy Minister and officials presented cash awards to the students who participated in the performances.

It is reported that, since the establishment of the National University of Arts and Culture (Yangon), the university has awarded Bachelor of Arts degrees beginning with its 10th Convocation in the 2006–2007 academic year. Beginning with its 22nd Convocation in the 2018–2019 academic year, it has also been able to confer Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degrees and Master of Arts degrees. At present, postgraduate doctoral programmes are being offered, and the university is expected to confer doctoral degrees in the near future. From its first Convocation in the 1997–1998 academic year through its 26th Convocation in the 2024–2025 academic year, the university has awarded various degrees and diplomas in different programmes to a total of 8,326 students.
