China's Xi arrives in Kyrgyzstan for regional summit, state visit

Kyrgyzstan welcomed Chinese President Xi Jinping with a ceremony in the capital, Bishkek, where Xi will attend a Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit with other member states, including Russia and Iran. Xi is also set to hold talks with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov to promote “mutually beneficial cooperation and high-quality development” between the two countries.
