2nd Monsoon Tree-Planting Ceremony : MOYA UM attended and planted Teakwood sapling

The 2026 second monsoon tree-planting ceremony of the Ministry of Youth Affairs was held Sunday morning in collaboration with Maple Win Nay Pyi Taw Co., Ltd. in front of the Maple Win Nay Pyi Taw Garment Factory compound in Dekkhinathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory.

First, the Union Minister for Youth Affairs led the tree-planting activity by planting a high-grade teak sapling. The Deputy Minister, Director-General, Deputy Directors-General, officers and staff of the ministry, together with the manager and employees of Maple Win Nay Pyi Taw Co., Ltd., then collectively planted high-grade teak saplings at the designated locations.

A total of 250 teak saplings were systematically planted during the ceremony with the objectives of promoting a green, pleasant and beautiful natural environment, maintaining a healthy ecosystem, preventing and mitigating natural disasters, and creating better shade and reducing the effects of heat.
