Preparing for Installing of Hemodialysis : MOL UM inspected preparations for installing hemodialysis

Union Minister for Labour U Khin Maung Soe, accompanied by officials, inspected the preparations for installing three hemodialysis machines at the Labour Hospital (Htantabin) in Hlaingthaya Township, Yangon Region, to provide hemodialysis services to insured workers suffering from chronic kidney disease.

He also made arrangements to fulfill the necessary requirements. To make healthcare services more accessible and effective for insured workers, medical treatment is currently provided through labour hospitals, Social Security clinics, department-level clinics and contracted clinics.

In addition, hemodialysis services are being provided to insured workers suffering from chronic kidney disease. At the Labour Hospital (Yangon), four hemodialysis machines are currently being used to provide an average of 130 dialysis sessions per month to approximately 126 patients.

Similarly, at the Labour Hospital (Mandalay), an average of 101 dialysis sessions are provided each month to approximately 14 patients.

The arrangements are being made to install hemodialysis machines and water purification systems at the Labour Hospital (Htantabin) so that insured workers suffering from chronic kidney disease in Yangon Region can receive hemodialysis services more conveniently without having to bear out-of-pocket expenses, it’s reported.
