Ethnic Affairs : Meeting with staff and visiting the EAC

Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Than Maung met with staff at the Tanintharyi Region Directorate Offices under the Ministry on Sunday.

The Union Minister urged the staff to carry out their duties responsibly and to coordinate with relevant organizations when facing difficulties. He also stressed the importance of security awareness and maintaining close contact with ethnic literature and cultural organizations.

Officials reported on ongoing activities and plans for the 2026–2027 fiscal year. Later, the Union Minister inspected the newly completed Ethnic Affairs Center, built with the budget allotment of the Tanintharyi Region Government. He called for effective use of the center, conducting vocational, language and literature, and traditional cultural dance training.
