Academic Tour : MOE Union Minister visits universities in Yangon

Union Minister for Education Dr Chaw Chaw Sein visited Yangon University of Economics (Ywathagyi) on Saturday, to oversee the progress of construction works. She inspected the construction progress of the Recreation Center and the chosen site of construction of convocation hall, hostel and staff housing.

The Union Minister later visited Thingankyun Education Degree College and inspected the lecture halls. On Friday, the Union Minister, together with Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant and officials visited Dagon University.

They met with the Rector, Pro-Rectors and officials and discussed matters on the location of the water storage tank, sports grounds, staff housings, and hostels, construction of recreation center and maintenance of the lecture halls.

They later inspected the university railway station, and YBS bus terminal as well as the equipment used for research and laboratory tasks. They also oversaw the paper reading session by final year master's degree students.
