Convenient Transportation : Yangon–DU train service to start daily from September 1

Myanma Railways will launch daily train services between Yangon, Toe Kyaung Kalay and Dagon University from September 1 to provide convenient transport for students and the public.

A total of 12 passenger train trips will run each day, using battery-electric locomotives with six ordinary-class coaches. Each coach can carry 62 passengers. The morning train will leave Yangon Station at 6:15 a.m. and arrive at Dagon University Station at 7:30 a.m., helping students reach the university before the 8 a.m. school start.

The return train will leave Dagon University at 3:15 p.m. and arrive in Yangon at 4:35 p.m. The trains will stop at Pazundaung, Mahlwagon, Hnin Si Kone, Thingangyun, Ngamoyeik and Toe Kyaung Kalay stations. The fare will be 500 kyat per passenger, regardless of the station. Myanma Railways said additional trains may be added if passenger numbers on the Yangon–Dagon University route increase.
