CPEC hydropower project boosts China-Pakistan energy cooperation

The Suki Kinari Flagship Hydropower Project are significantly advancing China-Pakistan energy cooperation under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Phase II.

Located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, this 884-MW plant began operations and has generated billions of kWh of clean electricity while cutting down standard coal use. For young Pakistani engineers, the project has also served as a valuable training ground, offering hands-on experience with advanced technology alongside their Chinese counterparts.
