Drug Seizure: Over 6 million stimulant tablets seized in Kalay

More than 6.2 million stimulant tablets, worth an estimated 15.5 billion kyats, were seized in Kalay of Sagaing Region, according to Myanmar Police Force.

Two men were arrested on August 15 at a house in San Myo Ward, where the drugs were found. It is learnt that the drugs had been transported from Sagaing to Kalay and three more suspects remain at large. Authorities are continuing to investigate the drug network and are also taking action under the Anti-Money Laundering Law to seize money and property gained from drug trafficking.
