4th Monsoon Tree-Planting Ceremony : YGN Region CM attended and delivered the opening remarks

Organized by the Yangon Region Government, the 2026 Fourth Monsoon Tree-Planting Ceremony was held Sunday morning in the Hlawga watershed area of Mingaladon Township, Yangon Region. Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu attended the ceremony and delivered the opening remarks.

Afterwards, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu and his wife, Yangon Region Hluttaw Deputy Speaker U Kyaw Kyaw Soe and Hluttaw representatives, members of the Yangon Region Government and their wives, departmental officials, invited guests and other officials collectively participated in the tree-planting activity.

Subsequently, Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu and officials toured the site and encouraged staff members and officials from various region government departments as they planted a total of 37,800 trees, comprising 12,000 teak trees, 12,000 pyinkado trees, 13,600 mahogany trees and 200 mango trees, it is reported.
