Thousands await aid after deadly Indonesian quake

Thousands of evacuees on Indonesia's Flores island fled their homes after a powerful earthquake damaged hundreds of houses and buildings. The country’s National Disaster Mitigation Agency has dispatched multiple aircraft, helicopters, and naval vessels carrying emergency tents, food, clean water, medicines, and generators.

Besides, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies said preparations were under way to bring aid to thousands in temporary shelters.
