Anniversary Celebration : MWCDF marks its 13th anniversary

The Myanmar Women and Children Development Foundation (MWCDF) held its 13th anniversary ceremony on Saturday, under the theme “Every Woman and Every Child, Secured Beautiful Life They Enjoy”.

The ceremony was attended by the President’s wife and MWCDF Honorary Patron Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, wife of Vice President (1) and Honorary Patron Daw San San Aye, Vice President (2) and Honorary Patron Daw Nan Ni Ni Aye, wives of senior government officials, partner organizations and donors.

Chairperson of the Myanmar National Committee on Women Union Minister for Women’s Affairs Dr. Thet Thet Zin delivered the opening speech, followed by a welcome remark from MWCDF Chairperson Dr. Nandar Hmun. Artists from the Ministry of Hotels, Tourism and Culture performed the MWCDF’s theme song, and a video documenting its 13 years of activities was then screened.

This was followed by presenting of honorary awards to the winners of State Level events. The President’s wife and guests later viewed documentary photos of MWCDF activities and displayed shops from regions and states.

They then attended the MWCDF’s annual meeting and reviewed its budget, activities, organizational structure and rules, financial reports. Cash assistance and pamphlets were also distributed to region and state associations.
