





Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Soe Win visited temporary flood relief shelters in Sagaing Township on Friday, to provide assistance to flood-affected residents.
The Union Minister met with flood victims at the temporary shelters and discussed health, sanitation, environmental protection and education. Relief supplies including rice, eggs and canned fish were provided to affected families.
Vulnerable people, including pregnant women, children under five, elderly people aged 70 and above, and persons with disabilities, also received 30,000 kyats each in cash assistance. A total of 412 flood-affected households, comprising 1,569 people in nine wards of Sagaing, received food supplies worth about 30 million kyats, along with more than 11.4 million kyats in cash assistance for vulnerable groups.
