Order No.62/2026 : Appointment of the Security and Border Affairs Minister

President's Office issued an Order No.62/2026 on August 13, regarding the appointment of the Security and Border Affairs Minister.

Under Section 262(a2), b, e and f and Section 264c of the Constitution, Sections 19c, and 82c of the Union Government Law, and Section 8(a2), b, f and g, and Section 56a of the Region or State Government Law, Colonel Soe Yan Naung was appointed as the Minister of Security and Border Affairs of Kachin State Government.

The Incumbent Minister Colonel Kyaw Thu Ya was reassigned to his original military duties. The order was signed by President U Min Aung Hlaing.
