University Visit: Plans to implement renovation of Dagon University

Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant and Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu visited Dagon University in Yangon on Thursday to inspect the condition of flooding in the university compound and aging buildings.

They reviewed waterlogging caused by rising water levels in Pazundaung Creek and discussed plans to improve drainage, renovate damaged university buildings, and upgrade roads and other facilities. They also proposed building retention ponds and improving the drainage system to reduce future flooding.
