North Koreans relax at the seaside as the Korean peninsula sweats in a record-setting heatwave. Hundreds flocked to the Wonsan Kalma Coastal Tourist Zone over the weekend, according to images from Pyongyang's state media.

South Korea registered three consecutive days of record temperatures starting Friday and peaking at 42.5 degrees Celsius on Sunday. Pyongyang and the North Korean provinces of Phyongan and Jagang were forecast daytime highs between 35 degrees Celsius and 40 degrees Celsius, according to state media.
