Varsity Esports Championship: KMD College claims championship for Mobile Legends

In Yangon, university students gathered for a major esports event as the Varsity Esports Championship 2026 was held at the University of Yangon. After two days of competition, KMD College claimed the championship title for Mobile Legends, finishing undefeated with a decisive 3–0 win in the finals.

Yangon Technological University (YTU) Team turned out as 1st Runner Up and Dagon University second Runner Up. The tournament was organized by the Myanmar Electronic Sports Federation in partnership with PUBG Mobile. Sixteen university teams competed in PUBG Mobile and Mobile Legends, drawing large crowds of students and young fans. Officials said the event aims to strengthen grassroots esports, empower students with digital skills, and prepare Myanmar’s youth to compete on the international stage.
