Seasonal Donation : Waso robes offered to the Sayadaws

Waso Robe Offering Ceremony of the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar was held at Agga Dhipadhi Sasana Beikmandawgyi in Maravijaya Buddha Park in Nay Pyi Taw Deckhinathiri Township on Friday.

Prior to the ceremony, President U Min Aung Hlaing paid homage to the Mara Vijaya Naung Taw Gyi Buddha Image, offering emerald alms bowl, fruit, flower, water and light. The ceremony then began by three times recitation of Namotasa.

The congregation led by the President and wife received  Nine Precepts from the Chairman of State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee, Thanlyin Min Kyaung Monastery Sayadaw, and listened to the sermons delivered by the Sayadaws and members of the Sangha.

Then, the President and wife donated Waso robe and offertories to the Chairman Sayadaw. This was followed by offering of Waso robes and donations to the Sayadaws and members of the Sangha by Vice President U Nyo Saw and wife, Hluttaw Speakers and wives, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and wife, Chairman of the State Constitutional Tribunal, Chairman of the Union Election Commission, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Commander-in-Chief (Army), Deputy Hluttaw Speakers and Union Ministers.

The Secretary of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Masoeyein Taik Thit Monastery Sayadaw delivered a sermon and the congregation shared the merits gained. After the ceremony, the President and wife and attendees donated day meal to the Sayadaws and members of the Sangha.
