Two Danish coastal cliffs, Hanklit and Knudeklint, are expected to gain UNESCO World Heritage status as the committee meets in South Korea.
South Korea is currently hosting the 48th Session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in Busan from July 20 to 29. Their ages are about 55 million years old from the early Eocene epoch, preserved in a low-oxygen clay seafloor that acted as a natural time capsule.
