Final Match and Prize Presenting: Presenting championship trophy & loan disbursement

The final match and prize awarding ceremony of the 2026 Inter-Basic Education Schools Men’s Sepak Takraw Tournament, organized by the Rakhine State Government, was held Wednesday morning at the Dhanyawadi Sports Hall in Sittwe. Rakhine State Chief Minister U Naing Oo, members of the State Government, departmental officials, sports teams, and sports enthusiasts attended and watched the final match between No. 6 Basic Education High School team and No.1 Basic Education High School team.

Afterwards, the prize presentation ceremony was held. The second-place and third-place teams were awarded individual medals and cash prizes by the State Minister for Security and Border Affairs and the State Minister for Social Affairs.

The champion team from Basic Education High School No. (6) was presented with individual medals, cash prizes, and the championship trophy by the Rakhine State Chief Minister.

Following the ceremony, the Chief Minister attended a work coordination meeting at the meeting hall of the Rakhine State Government Office concerning businesses that had received loans from the State Economic Promotion Fund.

In his address at the meeting, the Chief Minister requested discussions on methods for providing loans to support the development of MSME businesses and to help suspended businesses resume operations. He also called for reports and discussions on the utilization of the 10 billion kyats initial capital support fund allocated from the State Economic Promotion Fund for the development of Rakhine State, including the status of loans disbursed, the repayment situation, and cases where requests for loan repayment suspension had been submitted due to difficulties in recovering the loaned funds.

Next, the Secretary of the State Fund Management Committee explained the current status of loans provided from the initial capital support funds of the National Economic Promotion Fund. Following this, the secretaries of the State-Level Project Supervision Committees attending the meeting presented sector-wise reports on loan disbursement situations and future implementation plans.

Afterward, members of the Rakhine State Government and departmental officials participated in discussions and presented their recommendations. The Chairpersons of the District and Township Management and Administration Committees from Kyaukphyu, Taungup, and Manaung Townships also participated in the meeting and presented their reports via video conference, it’s reported.
