






Union Minister for Labour U Khin Maung Soe, accompanied by responsible officials, visited the Workers' Hospital (Yangon) in Tamwe Township, Yangon Region Tuesday morning. He inspected the preparation of the ultrasound scanning room and the use of the new ultrasound machine for diagnosing insured worker patients. He also provided necessary guidance to the hospital superintendent and responsible personnel.
The Workers' Hospital (Yangon) operates outpatient departments for general medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, orthopedics, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, ophthalmology, dentistry, radiology, and pathology.
It provides daily healthcare services for insured workers. In addition, kidney dialysis services are provided every day, including on government holidays. The hospital strives to be a trusted healthcare institution for both employers and insured workers, to expand healthcare services for insured workers, to provide quality health services, and to continuously improve effectiveness, it’s learnt.
Afterward, the Union Minister visited the Skills Training School (Yankin) in Yankin Township. He met with responsible officers from region, district, and township offices of departments and organizations within Yangon Region and provided necessary guidance.
He also inspected the site where an old building will be demolished to construct a new trainee dormitory at the Skills Training School (Yankin) during the 2026-2027 fiscal year, and instructed that the construction be completed within the specified timeframe to meet standards, it’s reported.
