




The eighth day of the Second Regular Session of the Third Pyidaungsu Hluttaw was held at 10:00 a.m. on July 14 in the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Meeting Hall in Nay Pyi Taw. Of the 560 Hluttaw representatives entitled to attend, 550 were present.
According to the agenda, Deputy Minister for Legal Affairs and Deputy Attorney General Dr. Htein Lin Oo explained to the Hluttaw the matter of seeking Hluttaw’s approval to continue the validity of an order having the force of law issued by the President.
It was then announced that any Hluttaw representative wishing to discuss the proposal could submit representative’s name for the discussion.
Next, regarding the communication sent by the President concerning Myanmar's participation in and signing of the Agreement Establishing the World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization (WAICO), Deputy Minister for Digital Development and Communications U Min Zeya Hlaing presented an explanation to the Hluttaw.
It was subsequently announced that any Hluttaw representative wishing to discuss the proposal could submit his or her name.
The Hluttaw then heard an explanation by Deputy Minister for Planning and Finance Daw Than Than Lin, on behalf of the Union Government, regarding the 2026 Bill Amending the Law Relating to the Preparation and Submission of the Union Budget Law.
She also, on behalf of the Union Government, presented the 2026 Bill Amending the Law Relating to the Preparation and Submission of the Budget Law of Regions or States to the Hluttaw.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:52 a.m. The ninth day of the session is scheduled to resume at 10:00 a.m. on July 21, it’s reported.
