India and Spain Discuss Strengthening Economic Partnership

India’s Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal is visiting Spain, Belgium and Finland to enhance economic cooperation and expand trade partnerships.

During his first engagement in Spain, he held talks with senior Spanish officials on strengthening bilateral business ties. During the first leg of his visit, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal met Spain’s First Vice President of the Government and Minister of Economy, Trade and Business, Carlos Cuerpo, on Monday.

The two leaders held productive discussions on strengthening the India-Spain economic partnership. They also exchanged views on the India-European Union Free Trade Agreement and explored ways to deepen business cooperation and expand India’s commercial engagement with Spain as a valued partner.
