India and Japan strengthen defense partnership

India and Japan have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening defense cooperation during the 8th Defense Policy Dialogue held in Tokyo.

The Indian delegation at the dialogue was led by Defense Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh, while the Japanese delegation was headed by Vice Minister of Defense for International Affairs Kano Koji. Both sides reviewed the progress achieved in defense cooperation since the previous Defense Policy Dialogue.

They also reiterated their commitment to further deepening the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership through enhanced collaboration in the defiance sector.
