Regional Development: Ayeyawady Investment Forum-2026

Jointly organized by the Ministry of National Planning, Investment and Foreign Economic Relations and Ayeyawady Region Government, Ayeyawady Investment Forum-2026 was held at the City Hall in Pathein on Friday.

Union Minister U Aung Kyaw Hoe attended the forum together with Chief Minister U Aye Kyaw.

In his remarks, the Union Minister outlined the great potentials that the region owns in agriculture, livestock breeding, maritime, food manufacturing, transportation and tourism sectors.

Encouraging on government and private sector collaboration, the Union Minister assured to provide the requisite assistance in line with the existing laws and by-laws to accelerate the value added products production and to ensure seamless investment process.

The Chief Minister also made clarifications on current tasks undertaking to enhance the socio-economic status of local residents and to secure the rapid growth of regional development process. He also underscored the departmental collaborations to accelerate investment enterprises.

The attendees made sector-wise discussions on regional investment opportunities, priority sectors, investment law and procedures. In the afternoon, the Union Minister visited Pathein Industrial Project undertaking with the permission of Myanmar Investment Commission, oversaw the industries and workshops and coordinated necessities.
