Immigration Cooperation: Meeting with the Bangladesh Ambassador

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing met with Bangladesh Ambassador to Myanmar Dr. Md. Monwar Hossain on Thursday, to discuss immigration cooperation and the repatriation of displaced people from Rakhine State.

The two sides exchanged views on visa issues, border crossing arrangements, and progress in verifying lists of displaced persons submitted by Bangladesh. They also discussed challenges in the verification process, the need for complete documentation, and ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation to facilitate immigration procedures and the repatriation process.
