







Magway Region Chief Minister U Tin Ko Ko and Region Hluttaw Speaker Dr. Maung Maung Htay and officials, inspected local development activities and visited a model, high-yield monsoon sesame plot of black sesame belonging to farmer U Khin Shwe at Field No. (1527-A) in Yay Pyae Village Tract, Myothit Township on the afternoon of July 8.
Following the inspection, the Chief Minister and officials met with local sesame and peanut farmers. During the meeting, the Region Chief Minister noted that as Magway is an agriculture-based region, it is crucial to boost local agricultural capability and maximize crop productivity, and he provided guidance accordingly.
Subsequently, the Chief Minister and officials visited the High School of Industrial, Agriculture, and Livestock in Myay Pyin Thar Village, Myothit Township. They met with and encouraged the teachers and students, distributing provisions such as rice, cooking oil, and chickpeas for the teachers, as well as school stationery including notebooks, pens, and pencils for the students. Additionally, they presented honorary cash awards of 300,000 Kyats each to two students who achieved the "Top 6" and "Top 7" nationwide rankings in the livestock specialty during the 2026 Industrial, Agriculture, and Livestock Matriculation Examination.
From there, Region Chief Minister and officials proceeded to the 57,000-foot mark of the Natmauk Right Main Canal along the Nay Pyi Taw highway to inspect the supply of water for monsoon paddy and the structural durability of the canal and its related facilities. They also visited and inspected the high-quality cattle breeding and multiplication farm of Good Brother Co., Ltd. in Yay Pyae Village, Myothit Township, where the Chief Minister provided necessary guidance and coordinated operations, it’s reported.
