







The 13th day of the Second Regular Session of the Third Amyotha Hluttaw was held on Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Amyotha Hluttaw chamber of the Hluttaw Complex in Nay Pyi Taw.
During the session, U Khin Maung Myint, Amyotha Hluttaw representative No. (7), for Shan State, and U Yan Naing Win, Amyotha Hluttaw representative No. (1) for Ayeyarwady Region, raised four questions. The questions were answered, according to their respective areas of responsibility, by Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant and Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Bo Bo Kyaw.
The Hluttaw then discussed a motion submitted by U Yan Naing Oo, Amyotha Hluttaw representative No. (9) for Yangon Region, urging the Union Government to give favourable consideration, for the benefit of both the country and its youth, to the recruitment of university graduates throughout the Republic of the Union of Myanmar by Union ministries through public calls for applications accompanied by clearly defined qualification requirements.
In response to the motion, Chairman of the Union Civil Service Board U Tin Maung Win provided clarifications and explanations. The Speaker of the Amyotha Hluttaw then sought the opinion of the mover of the motion, who requested that it be placed on record. Accordingly, the Speaker announced that, in accordance with the mover's request, the Hluttaw had decided to record the motion.
The 13th day of the Second Regular Session of the Third Amyotha Hluttaw was then adjourned. The 14th day of the session is scheduled to continue on 8 July, it’s reported.
